This tiny town is a traveller’s hub for the Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape region. Situated at the mouth of the Umzimbuvu (Mzimvubu) River, Port St. John borders the Pondoland National Park, an area famous for its deep gorges and impenetrable forests.
