Mmatshumo
Campsites in Mmatshumo
Village in the Central District of Botswana.
It use to be the largest ancient mainland superlake but now it is an area of wide open uninhabited spaces with endless horizons.
Although a small village it has administrative offices, a primary school, post office, bars, shops and a health clinic.
Khubu Island lies north of Mmatshumo and in the south lies the Damtshaa diamond mine operated by Debswana.
The island is a National Monument with campsites available.  Camp beneath the stars with views of faraway horizons.
The tarred road links Mmatshumo to Letlhakane in the south.
