Francistown
Campsites in Francistown
City in east Botswana, near the Zimbabwean border.
A 19th-century gold rush town.
It’s history is evident at the Supa Ngwao Museum with traditional wood carvings & cultural exhibits on the local Kalanga people.
Places of interest are, firstly, north of town to the Domboshaba ruins to see a set of centuries-old stone walls and enclosures. Secondly, to the south where Tachila Nature Reserve shelters wildlife such as hyenas and leopards.
