These beautiful campsites are nestled behind the sand dunes, on Wakene Beach Estate, within the coastal forest. There are 16 secluded Campsites available, each with their own private ablution and kitchenette.
The private sites can accommodate up to 10 guests per campsite. Each camp has a powerpoint, water tap and a braai available. The ablutions are equipped with flushing toilets, hot-water showers and basins. There is also a separate kitchenette with a fridge and a two-plate stove. Toilet paper and cleaning materials, including dishwashing liquid, are supplied. Included in the tariff is a maid to clean each site daily.
This is the ideal base to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the indigenous coastal forest with prolific birdlife and natural fauna and flora.

Henk’s Camp
MAX 10 Persons | No Sea View | Campsite with kitchen, dinning and one full bathroom
This exclusive, sought after campsite on the edge of the Estate is on the highest Dune. Offers limited Sea view and shady trees. Sheltered from wind. Next to Bella Casa but far enough away to have total privacy at the end of the road.
Jabulile’s Camp
MAX 16 Persons | Only camp with a seaview – Parking for 2 Vehicles
Jabuliles is a privately owned campsite within the Wakene Beach Estate. This is the only campsite with a sea view. Situated 100m from the beach within the coastal forest.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:Â
Wakene Beach Estate is accessible by 4×4 only!
Drinking alcohol on the beach is prohibited!
Fishing license is now required to fish off the beach!
No pets allowed!
Vehicle papers, a letter from the bank and insurance is required for financed vehicles.
PASSPORTS: Please make sure everyone’s South African passports are at least valid 1 month before the expiry date and you each have more than 2 pages open in your passports.
If you are on an International passport, It will need to be valid for 6 months before the expiry date. They are very strict at the border and will not let you through.
CHILDREN: As of the 1st of June 2015, all children under the age of 18 emigrating through a South African border post must travel with an unabridged birth certificate in addition to a valid passport and necessary visas if required. When applying for the Unbridged birth certificate it can take up to 8 weeks for it to be issued, but the good news is that you can request a letter indicating that you have applied for the Unbridged Birth Certificate and the letter can then be used in the interim while you travel.
Cancellation Policy:
-     – No show or cancellation within 14 days of stay – No refund due.
-     – Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before stay – 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
-     – Cancellation between 60 and 31 days before stay – 75% of the deposit will be refunded.
-     – Cancellation more than 60 days before stay – full refund.
