Located 23 kilometres east of East London, Areena rests on the banks of the Kwelera tidal river, marking the inception of the Eastern Cape Wild Coast. Here, you’ll be treated to unparalleled vistas of the river, abundant wildlife and the captivating vegetation of the surrounding wild coast.

Our caravan park has become a favorite among East Coast camping enthusiasts, drawing them back time and again. Spread over 800m of river frontage, more than half of our sites promise the perfect spot for your getaway.

For added entertainment, guests can enjoy a communal lounge with DSTV, a swimming pool, tennis court, and games room featuring table tennis and a pool table. Bird enthusiasts will delight in the plethora of species awaiting discovery, making our resort a paradise for bird watchers.

Campsites

• 110 x Generously sized caravan or tent sites.
• Most sites are well grassed and shady (other sites have cement slabs) with more than half of the sites spread along 800m of river frontage.
• Each site has one 15-20 amp electrical outlet and a braai with a grid.
• Sparkling – clean communal ablution blocks with hot water, (serviced daily).
